Aldi to open 11 stores before Christmas

Aldi is planning to open 11 new stores across the UK between now and Christmas as it continues its expansion across the UK. The discounter will open new stores in Sedgley in the West Midlands and Castle Douglas in Scotland this week, followed by Horsham in West Sussex and Muswell Hill in London later this month. New locations in Totton, Hampshire, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol and Pwllheli in Gwynedd are scheduled to open before Christmas.

Scentre Group’s rent collections, visitors up in first nine months

Westfield operator Scentre Group booked higher rent collections and witnessed more visitors during the nine months to September 30. Gross rent collections grew by $78 million to $2.07 billion while total business partner sales increased 2.3 per cent to $20.2 billion.
