Earlier this week, supermarket player Coles announced it is selling its convenience arm Coles Express to long-time fuel partner Viva Energy for $300 million. Coles had been working with Viva Energy through its Express arm for some time, though its agreement was due to expire in 2029 – meaning Coles would have either had to negotiate a new agreement in seven years’ time, or sell the business.

The chain, which posted gains in revenues and earnings for the last quarter isn’t ready to announce an increase. CFO Richard Galanti said, “We are confident in our ability to do so (raise rates). And at some point, we will. But it’s a question of when, not if.”.

US-based chain Cinnabon is expanding its Australian presence with its first store in Sydney soon to open. . Scheduled for late November or early December, the store be located in Darling Square, expanding a network that is currently confined to Queensland and Melbourne. The 40sqm retail Sydney store will have 15 to 20 outside seats and sell the brand’s signature sticky cinnamon rolls, as well as chocolate and caramel-pecan varieties and monthly specials. .

To combat the climate impact of all those deliveries, Amazon has teamed up with Infinium to begin powering its transportation fleet with ultra-low carbon electrofuels beginning in 2023. Infinium develops ultra-low carbon fuels that can be used to power cargo trucks, airplanes and marine freight without engine modifications.

Workers at a Home Depot in Northeast Philadelphia have filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board to form a union. Vincent Quiles, one of the organizing employees, said, “Long story short, we got screwed over during the pandemic.
