Pop-up experiences that last a few days or several months have been around for the last decade, but post-Covid we have seen a huge increase in this form of retail which is in large part driven by the increase in D2C brands looking to explore physical interaction with their audiences. The key downfall of a D2C brand in the eyes of a consumer is the lack of physical presence where you get the chance to pick up, turn on or try on its products.

However, brick-and-mortar is not dead and many shoppers still prefer to buy in-store. One of the biggest issues when shopping in-store is the low stock of products.
