Italian luxury fashion retailer Moncler Group has posted growths in both sales and profit for the six months ended June 30 despite a “complex operating environment”. The company’s consolidated revenues rose 11 per cent year on year to EUR1.23 billion (US$1.3 billion), with sales up 15 per cent for the Moncler brand and down 5 per cent for the Stone Island label.

Conn’s Home Plus , which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the Southern District of Texas on July 23 according to multiple media reports, will close 71 of its 170 stores. The 134-year-old furniture and electronics retailer, which operates primarily in the South and Southwest U.S., will close 18 stores in Florida, nine in Texas and seven in Arizona.

Walmart will lease clinical space for senior-focused primary care centers at 23 Walmart Supercenter stores in Florida, Georgia, Missouri and Texas. Health care services company CenterWell will operate the clinics under its Senior Primary Care and Conviva Care Centers brands.
