Retail sales continued to grow in August, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), despite consumer confidence plunging over the past month. Sales are estimated to have risen 1% in August from a 0.7% rise in July, marking their highest levels since July 2022, the ONS reported. Uniqlo has opened its new Coal Drops Yard store, with a re-opening of its store in London’s White City Westfield planned to take place on 10 October.
