B&Q Opens New Store in Altrincham Following Homebase Acquisition

B&Q has opened a new 41,000 square foot store at Altrincham Retail Park, marking the first of eight former Homebase locations to be relaunched under the brand. Situated on George Richards Way (WA14 5GR), the store aims to provide home improvement products and services to local customers, including both retail and trade visitors. The new site employs 38 colleagues, 19 of whom transferred from Homebase and 19 who were newly recruited.

Mytheresa gets green light to acquire Yoox Net-A-Porter

Mytheresa has received regulatory approval from the European Commission to acquire Yoox Net-A-Porter. The deal, announced back in October, is set to close on April 23 and will see the luxury etailers form a new company called LuxExperience. Mytheresa confirmed the news on Friday and unveiled several executive changes for the new entity.
