LVMH Sells Off-White to Brand Management Firm Bluestar

LVMH has sold the luxury streetwear brand Off-White to brand management company Bluestar Alliance. Financial details were not disclosed. LVMH took a majority stake in the label in 2021 , agreeing to increase its stake over time to 60% , with brand founder Virgil Abloh retaining the remaining 40%. At the time, Abloh also was the artistic director of menswear collections at Louis Vuitton , a position he held until he passed away in November 2021, just four months after the sale of Off-White.

PetSmart CEO Exits Company to Lead Signet Jewelers

J.K. Symancyk is stepping down from his role as President, CEO and board member at PetSmart and will succeed Virginia “Gina” Drosos as CEO of Signet Jewelers when she retires on Nov. 4, 2024. Symancyk will join the board at that time; Drosos will stay on as advisor through the end of the company’s fiscal year to support the transition. PetSmart’s current EVP and CFO Alan Schnaid will serve as interim President and CEO at that retailer until a successor for Symancyk is found.

Accent Group becomes sole distributor of Lacoste and Dickies

Apparel brands Lacoste and Dickies have appointed Accent Group as their exclusive distributor in Australia and New Zealand. Both brands are sold in ANZ through direct-to-consumer, online and owned stores, and via wholesale channels. Accent sells Lacoste under many of its multi-brand umbrellas, including Hype DC, Platypus, Stylerunner, and Glue. The group expects to begin distributing Lacoste next year, following a transition phase with the current distributor.
