Spirit Halloween will trade jack o’ lanterns for candy canes after Oct. 31 with plans to operate 10 Spirit Christmas stores in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. But before that, the seasonal retailer will offer same-day delivery from 800+ of its Halloween stores this season via a partnership with crowdsourced delivery provider Roadie , leveraging a direct integration between the retailer’s online store and the Roadie platform.

Guzman Y Gomez says it has witnessed significant sales growth in the first first quarter amid improved performance across all markets – except in the US. The Mexican-themed fast food chain booked network sales of $278.8 million in the quarter ended September 30, up 20.7 per cent from a year ago. This comes as sales grew 21.1 per cent to $260.2 million in Australia and by 19.3 per cent to $13.6 million in Singapore.

Uniqlo owner Fast Retailing is expected to post a third year of record profits, which are forecast to have grown 24% for the 12 months through August to £2.46bn. This is £20m more than the fashion retailer forecast and comes as Uniqlo has focused on expanding into Western markets. It opened the door to a new store at Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross and is set to reopen its London White City store this week.

End Clothing has been acquired by private equity giant Apollo, three years after previous owner The Carlyle Group bought the business. It comes as the luxury streetwear retailer’s lenders and shareholders have finalised an agreement to recapitalise the business, Drapers reported. Apollo helped to finance The Carlyle Group’s purchase of a majority stake in the brand back in 2021, which valued the business at £750m.
