Baby Boomers spend more on online shopping despite cost-of-living pressures

While Baby Boomers and Gen X spent more on online shopping last year, the younger generations reduced online spending amid financial pressures, according to an Australia Post study. Baby Boomers spent $12.5 billion on online purchases last year, up 7 per cent, the 2024 Inside Australian Online Shopping Report showed. Similarly, Gen X spent $17.5 billion, a slight increase of 1 per cent.
