Retailers have ‘lacklustre’ January as cost of living hits sales

Retail had a disappointing January, as the elevated cost of living and unfavourable weather discouraged shopping from spending. Total retail sales across the UK edged up by just 1.2% year-on-year in January, a drop from the 4.2% rise the same time last year, according to the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and KPMG. A nation of cheats? Two in five Aussies admit to indulging in returns fraud

Nearly four in 10 Australians admitted to having either engaged in online return policy abuse or fraudulent behaviours themselves in the past year or know someone who has, according to a recent study.
